Why SIMPLYK was founded
In 2015, co-founder François De Kerret and Thibault Jaurou arrived in Montreal and began seeking volunteer opportunities. He soon realized that it was difficult to know where help was needed. Together they set up a volunteer marketplace. From 2016 to 2018, this platform is used by 50,000 volunteers.
From this experience with charities, they realized that organizations were struggling to buy technology, including fundraising technology. They created the donation and ticketing platform to ensure that all organizations access the best tools to maximize their resources.
