Kat Mooney, PRM McGill

With nearly 30 years of experience, Kat Mooney has built a career helping organizations maximize their impact through fund development, communications, including public relations, and strategic planning. She has held leadership roles across the non-profit and corporate sectors, specializing in donor engagement, marketing, and volunteer management. Her passion for mentorship is reflected in Pounce Support Services' commitment to hands-on learning opportunities and offers internships for students.
Kat holds a Public Relations Management Certificate from McGill University, is Brené Brown Dare to Lead Trained™, and is pursuing her Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) designation. She leads with the philosophy that fundraising is about helping people and creating lasting change, bringing creativity, strategy, and an unwavering dedication to every project.

Blessing Adeniyi, BA, MBA
Blessing is an experienced communications professional with expertise in public relations, crisis management, market research, and brand storytelling. With a Master’s degree in Public Relations and Advertising, she has built a strong career in journalism, publishing, and event planning. She is an active member of the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) and brings a strategic, results-driven approach to every project.
Beyond her professional achievements, Blessing is deeply committed to social impact, having worked on initiatives supporting marginalized communities. Her ability to craft compelling narratives and build strong public engagement makes her an invaluable asset in fundraising, reputation management, and donor relations.

Brianna MacLean, BA, PRM MacEwan
Brianna specializes in public relations writing, creative storytelling, and social media strategy. She holds a degree in Women & Gender Studies from the University of Alberta and a Public Relations diploma from MacEwan University. Since joining Pounce Support Services™, she has contributed to newsletters, media content, and grant writing, helping organizations refine their messaging.
Her experience includes interviewing industry professionals, crafting compelling donor communications, and developing engaging digital content. Brianna's strong research and editing skills ensure that every project is polished, persuasive, and aligned with each organization’s unique goals.

Charles MacKenzie, MBA, CFRE

Charles is a fund development professional with over a decade of experience helping non-profits across Canada achieve their fundraising goals. He has worked extensively in the non-profit sector and the academic world. He is a self-described fund development generalist with a broad professional practice that includes major gifts, grant writing, strategic planning, and prospect research. He has held senior positions with several major national organizations, including Diabetes Canada, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and the Alberta AdaptAbilities Association.
Charles graduated from Cape Breton University with a bachelor’s degree in history. He also pursued graduate studies in history, completing his MA at the University of Western Ontario. In 2022, Charles earned the recognized credential of Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE). Charles is an active community volunteer, he has served on the boards of several organizations across Canada, including Hospice Toronto, AFP Edmonton, and AFP Nova Scotia. His specialties include donor stewardship, feasibility studies, capital campaigns, grant writing, prospect research, operational reviews, strategic planning, and strategic prospect engagement.

Mirande Alexandre, B.Com
Mirande has over 25 years of experience in social development, grant funding, and non-profit capacity building. She has worked across Canada, Mexico, and Jordan, securing over $20 million in funding for organizations. With a background in government, she specializes in partnership development, strategic planning, and fund development.
Her contributions have earned her multiple awards, including recognition for her work in supporting linguistic minority communities and the 2SLGBTQ+ sector. Mirande’s expertise in mentorship, grant writing, and program evaluation makes her a sought-after consultant for organizations looking to grow and secure long-term sustainability.

Sarah Birmingham, PRM MacEwan
Sarah is a skilled public relations professional with expertise in crisis communication, social media content creation, and creative writing. A graduate of MacEwan University’s Public Relations program, she joined Pounce Support Services™ after a successful internship, contributing to media outreach, donor messaging, and digital campaigns.
With strong writing and research skills, Sarah plays a key role in crafting impactful communications that enhance brand awareness and engagement. Passionate about storytelling, she helps organizations refine their messaging to effectively reach and inspire their audiences.

John Phin, CFRE

John is a seasoned Fundraising and Fund Development expert with experience in consulting and staff leadership roles. His roles include campaigns of all types, Feasibility and Planning Studies, Case for Support writing, proposal editing, and strategic planning. His speciality is helping organizations understand and apply the fundamentals of Professional Fundraising that build the foundations that tap into strong and sustainable Philanthropic Support. Such focused attention enables John to provide the right strategies for maximum impact. He empowers organizations to secure the resources necessary to underwrite the cost of programs, services, people, and facilities necessary to move the needle on their mission.
A former lecturer at Mount Royal University, John teaches courses in Fundraising and Charitable Gift Planning. He is an advocate for professional excellence and facilitates a series of CFRE Study & Support Groups attended by hundreds from around the world. He earned the CFRE designation and maintained the credential for 24 years. He is a mentor to colleagues and a volunteer in the community.
